A deeper calm and safety
The Buddha talked about human life as being exposed to worldly winds – forces that easily blow us about. Whether from other people’s opinions or our own experience, we’re subject to praise and blame, gain and loss, pleasure and pain, and fame and disgrace. How can we live well and with perspective on what life throws at us? How can we find stillness and ease and be fully alive and responsive at the same time? The retreat will create a gentle and relaxing space where we can meet our immediate experience with kindness and friendliness. There we will learn ways of cultivating and nurturing the helpful and skillful mental states that are the gateways to ease, peace and energy.
