Most of us think of ‘addiction’ as substance abuse – something some people suffer from and others not. However, the reality is that almost everyone has from some form of compulsion or addiction. For instance, some of us feel the compulsive need to exercise, work or to be busy. Or we listen to music, read or bury ourselves in binge watching Netflix or every news cast – anything not to deal with the present. Some of us also have habitual emotions or reactions to things. The list goes on and on…This retreat is for anyone looking for a reflective journey into working with compulsive and destructive habits and seeking to draw on the practices which can take us to a deeper and more grounded path.
