Climate Activism, as we all need to realise, is both External and Internal. On the one hand we need to build a sustainable world with specific energy forms and economic arrangement and, on the other, we need to find ways to remain balanced, joyful and filled with equanimity while we live through the early stages of climate breakdown.

This retreat will be exploring what we can do in our external world to promote the world we need to create, as well as what can be done internally. We will also try to understand what is happening in the psyche of the people who are obstructing progress and find our way to feeling compassion towards them. It is our practice, externally and internally, that will help us to remain joyful, inspired and compassionate to ourselves and our planet and to avoid the pit of over-engagement or over-detachment.
