- Standard Rate – This includes accommodation, food and basic running costs for the centre plus a surcharge to cover travel for the teacher.
- Generous Rate – This includes the above plus a dana contribution to Emoyeni for upkeep and improvements to the centre and other eventualities.
Plus Suggested rate for Teacher’s dana: (not included in the above rates). This is a sliding scale suggestion as to how much to contribute to the teacher.
Secular forms of Buddhism have become increasingly popular in the West. Mindfulness practices are now utilised in schools, organisations and in psychotherapy. Mindfulness is, however, not just a treatment technique but forms part of a rich philosophy for making sense of our own existence. This retreat will therefore introduce Buddhism as an existential practice that opens us up to what it means to be alive in a thinking, feeling, breathing body. It will include gentle movement, Vipassana practice and some Korean Zen techniques
