Anton Burghoff has been a volunteer cook at Emoyeni for many years where he has shared his skills, creativity and a lifelong passion for food. He has also cooked for exclusive bush lodge retreats elevating local cuisine and dishes for international travellers. For him, cooking has always been about discovery and experimentation but mostly about fostering connection, inviting joy and creating a meaningful community of practice. His love for making things extends beyond cooking to building (a straw-bale house in the eastern Free State) as well as writing (concept development and authoring his father’s biography) and a career in television as a producer, including the award-winning culinary series My Kitchen Rules.
