Antony is a former Zen monk who has been practising Buddhism for almost forty years.  Antony is based at Poplar Grove farm, near Colesberg in the Karoo, where he conducts Zen retreats and has a guest house. Antony is the author of Stoep Zen and Zen Dust, two popular books about Zen life in South Africa.  He has received formal inka from Zen Master Dae Gak of Furnace Mountain, Kentucky, giving him authority to teach Zen and Zen koans under the name and title of Dae Chong Osho.
