Many people reach moments in life where they feel stuck, uncertain, or pulled in different directions. When facing important decisions or periods of change, the voices in our minds can become confusing, one voice urging caution, another questioning our ability, and yet another inviting us to explore possibilities we have not yet considered.
This retreat offers a supportive and reflective space for anyone who feels unclear about their next steps, whether in their personal life, career, or broader sense of purpose. Drawing on the facilitated approach, the experience combines guided reflection, conversation, and practical exercises to help participants explore how they respond to uncertainty and change.
By the end of the retreat, participants will develop greater clarity, reconnect with their inner resources, and design simple practices to help them move forward with more confidence, resilience, and authenticity.
Cassandra Taylor (MSc Life Sciences, UNISA) teaches Yoga, Yoga Therapy and Sound Healing. She has been teaching Yoga since 2016 and is also the owner of YogaSteps. For her, Yoga is both an art and a science which involves the movement of the body, the stilling of the mind and the calming of emotions. Her classes focus on releasing tension in the body through the incorporation of physical movements, breathing practices and relaxation techniques. She hopes to offer classes that are practical, uplifting, and accessible to individuals of all ages, whatever their unique needs may be.
Lelanie Smith (PhD Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering, UP), alongside her institutional work, has facilitated personal development processes for over a decade across diverse settings. Her practice integrates modalities such as Focusing, narrative coaching informed by the Enneagram, somatic regulation approaches linked to polyvagal theory, and reflective practices drawn from contemplative traditions, like Yoga. She has designed and led retreats and workshops on navigating personal and professional change, incorporating art based and embodied approaches to foster presence and resilience.
